Instructions

Here are the steps to configure Mac Mail :

  1. Launch Mac Mail.
  2. Go to MailPreferences...

  3. On Accounts page, click "+" to add new account.

  4. Provide your Full NameEmail Address and Password. Then click Continue (Please replace alex@domain.com with your real email address and domain).

  5. If it prompts you with Verify Certificate window and shows some error, you can ignore it by pressing Connect button.

  6. The configuration will be split into two different settings, POP3 and IMAP. Follow below steps for POP3 settings :

    • Choose POP on Account Type

    • If you see below message, click Continue to ignore the message.

    • Configure Outgoing Mail Server for the account.

    • If it prompts you with Verify Certificate window and shows some error, you can ignore it by pressing Connect button.

    • Please check Account Summary before you proceed to Create the account.

    • The account has successfully created and you can go back to the main window to check your emails.

  7. If you want to configure an IMAP account, you need to follow below steps :

    • Choose IMAP on Account Type.

    • If you see below message, click Continue to ignore the message.

    • Configure Outgoing Mail Server for the account.

    • If it prompt you with Verify Certificate window and shows some error. You can ignore it by pressing Connect button.

    • Please check Account Summary before you proceed to Create the account.

    • The account has successfully created and you can go back to the main window to check your emails.
